This is the first domestic collection of works by Yoshitoshi Kanemaki, a sculptor who creates unique works with expressions inspired by the many-faced, multi-armed (tamentahi) Buddhist sculptures.
In addition to arranging multiple cuts from his early works to his masterpieces, we approach the full picture of Kanemaki's works from multiple perspectives, including drawings, multiples, production records, 50 questions and 50 answers, and a personal chronology.
Also includes a conversation with Mika Ninagawa, his ally since his cram school days.
