COLORFUL" is the first collection of works by painter Wataru Uchida.
It is a collection of small sketches Uchida drew during the period when the COVID-19 disaster occurred in Germany, where Uchida bases his activities, and his activities were greatly restricted. The surrealistic view of the world where fiction and reality are mixed, the humorous expression of motifs such as animals, and the concise touch of line drawings without coloring resonate with scenes somewhere in our memories that we seem to know but have forgotten.
At the end of the book are two essays, "The Trashcan of External Memory" by the artist himself and "Recycling Memory" by the publisher, along with their English translations
